I've decided instead to leverage the Bank into a ShortSale of my current home (hopefully). If the bank doesn't want to play ball.... i'll file Chapter 7 on their asses.

3 months later...

3 months later... and my Post-Lasik story is still going well. Doc said i even reached 20/20 in both eyes; a pleasant surprise (i was 20/25 two months ago; but had assumed this was the best it was gonna get). i am quite fortunate indeed.

South Beach was Incredible! The Sun, Ocean, Fish, Sand, Beaches (topless).... an absolute Amazing time!

Summer Vacation Starts Now

And So it begins.
My Subsidized Summer Vacation finally came through... 6 weeks later than expected... but with 5 good weeks still available.
What a Relief...

Turns out, the Client decided to give my contract company the Boot (well mostly). it was about an 80% reduction. Bitter-sweet.
I am going to miss many of my coworkers. (really Good people).
i am also going to miss my main Manager (truly a great guy to work for).
I am NOT going to miss my DoucheBag-manager. Sheesh... what an idiot. Did i Fail to mention how this guy does NOT wash his hands when using the pisser?? (Yeah... i witnessed it on TWO separate occasions).

So Long WC... our parting was a bit overdue.

Greed like this kind of makes me wonder if Mass Human Extinction
isn't as far away as some may think..

Laser Thursday

Two more days until LASER THURSDAY....
and i'm starting to freak out (a little). I'm both excited and scared at the same time. 'What if something goes wrong' is the nagging thought that keeps popping in my head. Unfortunately, I don't really have an answer for that.
What i'm about to do is completely Vanity motivated. I don't NEED to get my eyes done.... but i certainly WANT to. And that ties directly to my 2010 New Year's Resolution: Start being who i WANT to be.
So here i am, Poised on the edge of something Bold... but scared of the consequences at the same damn time.


Oh well... no one lives forever, right?

Beginning to consider the possibilty that my Subsidized Summer Vacation may not come through. Not Pleased about that.

but at least my Lunch break wasnt so bad...





In Positive news, i Can report that this is Day 3 of WolfCat-Works-Out-@-Gym-@-6am.
i AM pleased about this.
Plus i'm actually "working out" (instead of just oogling the women like i normally do in the evenings). Speaking of which, i saw a new face Just this morning and was compelled to introduce myself (again, 2010 resolution). Andrea, it turns out, is quite pleasant and very easy to talk to. She's here for the week on a temporary guest pass courtesy of her aunt. Andrea has brown skin and a bright smile. She also has an amazing body. Definitely hoping to see more of her....

What is wrong with people nowadays??

Two Girls, One Guy + a HotTub = One Enjoyable Weekend

I had a pretty enjoyable past weekend. i did some much needed laundry. I met up for sushi with a couple of buddies I used to work with. And I also watched Boston take a 3-2 series lead over LA. But the highlight of my weekend goes to the subject-line above.

Now because I'm a Gentleman, I can not share any details... so you'll just have to trust me when I say that it was enjoyable.

With this past New Years, I decided to make a resolution (first time for everything, right?). I promised myself that I was going to make some changes in 2010. I promised that I was going to stop being Me and start being who I Want to be. Stop being Reserved, and Start being Spontaneous. Stop being a Prude, and sta.... well you get the point.

Anywho, this weekend was a step towards who I Want be. I am quite pleased. But we are only halfway through the year... and I'm just getting started. This September I'm going with my neighbors to Miami for 5 nights. That should be new & exciting. But even more incredible is that I've scheduled to have Lasik at the end of the month. Now That is a Major Change for me. I could spend all morning expressing my thoughts on that.... but it will have to wait for another day because i have to head in for work :\

(Yes, for some reason, i was Not axed on Friday. Not exactly sure what's going on with those people. ToTaL bummer...)

The Ax Man Cometh...

Well, i can answer that with an emphatic YES.

And it's not because i hate my job or anything; Because i don't. I Like my Job. I really do. I like the People i work with. I like all the Experience i gain from learning various new things. I like most of the managers that i report to.

Most of my Managers....
however, there is always the one. The one who is just a total jackass whose apparent only purpose in life is to get you out the door. For the Record, It's not a matter of Performance. I've been there close to 3 years, and that is mainly due to my Skill & Knowledge. But it IS a matter of Personal Dislike because i stand up for myself and will not allow him to (unjustly) talk DOWN to me.
oh boy... i just realized that i could go on & on explaining why this guy is such a douche-bag.... but you know what?? He's not even worth the keystrokes :]

Instead, i 'll stay on track and on topic.
Anyway, i found out last Friday that i was supposed to be Axed that very day. A few of my coworkers caught wind of this and let me know that morning (like i said, i REALLY like the group that i work with. They are good people). So after a mad dash to export/Upload of all my personal data to my home network (which didnt take too much time since i was backing it up periodically already), i was ready for the inevitable ax'ing.
Well, as Fate would have it, there was an unfortunate Screwup made by another worker (he belongs to a different project/team than myself), that resulted in the complete deletion of an entire department. User accounts, email mailboxes, etc, GONE.
(doh)
it took the entire rest of the day, restore from tapes, plus a call to Microsoft to get everything recovered.

Okay, i know what some of you are thinking, but let me be Clear: it was NOT me.

Seriously. i am not that kind of person. And even if i would, i would not BLOG about it on the internet (there is No such thing as anonymity on the internet. We can All be tracked).

So Anyway, this other Guy committed the screwup. Was it an accident? Totally. Sometimes you just click too fast, and then BOOM, you scrambling for the UNDO button.
But whats interesting is that this wasnt the first time that he (or his team) has Screwed up. in fact, its becoming so frequent that some of the Managers are starting to remember the prior screwups. (not a good thing).

The point to all this background blah blah is this:
the Douche-bag-Manager who is actively trying to throw me out, is (at the same time) constantly protecting that other team with all their frequent Screwups.

(You just have to laugh at the irony)

Okay, so by now you've probably realized that i am not very good at expressing my thoughts in a coherent manner.

i am really all over place!!

So let me wrap this up:
I was Not axed last Friday. Call it Fate, Call it Whatever, but i guess it was kind of hard to Can my Ass over Here; when you have the B-team screwing up so badly Over There.


Rumor has it, that i was given a 1-week "Stay of Execution". i believe Douche-BAg's plan is to let things blowover a bit, and then come back for me this Friday (which would be Today)...

Honestly, i am actually looking forward to it.
And thus we have come Full Circle and End exactly where this musing Began:
